Carême

In the midst of Napoleonic Europe in turmoil, an orphan named Antonin Carême, endowed with a remarkable gift, aspires to just one thing: to transform himself into the world's most renowned chef and elevate Gastronomy to a noble rank, as a new art. However, to achieve this, he finds himself forced to make a deal with evil incarnate and become a spy in the service of a Machiavellian individual who has placed politics on the same level as art: Talleyrand. Based on a true story, Carême plunges us into a world where the poverty and rigor of kitchens are juxtaposed with the wealth of private hotels, where genuine feelings are damaged by hypocrisy, and where manipulation reigns supreme.
