Season 2 of Haunted Hotel premieres on Netflix on October 9, 2026, which means there are only 10 days left before the doors reopen on one of animation’s strangest and most promising supernatural comedies. The series, which blends haunted-house horror with dysfunctional family sitcom energy, returns after a 10-episode first season that introduced viewers to a very unusual hospitality problem: how do you keep a hotel running when the guests are difficult, the staff situation is complicated, and some of the residents are literally dead? For fans of horror-comedy, adult animation and ghost stories with emotional baggage, Haunted Hotel is exactly the kind of series to add to BetaSeries now so you do not miss the Season 2 premiere.
The essential reminder is simple: Haunted Hotel follows Katherine, a single mother of two trying to manage a haunted hotel while raising her family and keeping the business alive. Her situation is made even more complicated by Nathan, her estranged brother, who is no longer among the living but remains very much involved as one of the ghosts. Instead of being a helpful supernatural co-manager, Nathan is the kind of spectral presence who thinks the other ghosts may actually have some good ideas—which is usually where the trouble starts. Season 1 established the show’s central comic engine: family drama colliding with ghost logic, business chaos and a building full of dead personalities who refuse to stay in the background.
What makes the upcoming Season 2 exciting is that Haunted Hotel has already built a premise designed to expand. The first season only had 10 episodes, enough to set up the hotel, the family dynamic and the supernatural ensemble, but not nearly enough to exhaust the possibilities. A haunted hotel is a perfect storytelling machine: every room can hide a new secret, every corridor can trigger a new curse, and every ghost can come with unfinished business, terrible advice or a wildly specific grudge. Season 2 is expected to lean further into that format while deepening the emotional stakes for Katherine and Nathan, whose sibling relationship remains the heart of the show beneath all the ectoplasm, jokes and horror imagery.

I was cautious about an American remake but they've made it really well. I hope it runs for a good few seasons. Sufficiently different to the UK version to be able to enjoy both.
