A huge sinkhole opens up in the middle of Los Angeles at the La Brea Tar Pits. Hundreds of people, vehicles and buildings are dragged into the depths.
Survivors are found fallen in deserted lands. The hole brought the hundred people 10,000 BC.
The Harris family is separated by this event. Eve, Gavin, Izzy and Josh Harris try to reunite. Eve and Josh fall into the hole.
Gavin has visions giving insight into when and where Eve and Josh are. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is not surprised by this sudden earthquake. A similar event took place in the Mojave Desert.
