Montmartre

Set in Paris in 1899, the story follows Céleste, a cancan dancer who performs in a Montmartre cabaret. She is desperate to find her brother and sister, with whom she was tragically separated as a child when their father was murdered before their very eyes. In order to finance Léon, the detective responsible for finding her loved ones, she has no alternative but to dance with no clothes on. And so Céleste transforms herself into the first stripper in Paris, causing a scandal in spite of herself. With each performance, as her confidence grows, a new world opens up to her. However, the shadows of her past continue to pursue her relentlessly.
