In real life, Youngwoo Shin is a failure who juggles a series of odd jobs just to barely make ends meet and pay off his debts. Even his loved ones see him as a hopeless video game addict. Yet when he logs into Satisfy—the phenomenally successful VR (virtual reality, a technology that immerses players in a 3D digital world via a headset) game—Youngwoo transforms into Grid, a warrior who is equally dismal. Everything changes the day he stumbles upon a grimoire (an ancient book containing secret or magical knowledge) that holds the forgotten wisdom of a legendary blacksmith. The problem is that using it resets all his levels to zero! To survive this return to square one, Grid will have to hone his skills and gather trustworthy allies… or not! Who needs all that when you have divine-level items—that is, items of near-absolute power?!
