Under the guise of a documentary about an unemployed person seeking a job to reenter the workforce, an executive (who changes with each episode) disguises himself and, under the pretext of a filmed report, undergoes brief training periods in various professions within the company he oversees.
He is assisted by one employee from each professional field. The fact that the employees are aware they are being filmed could trigger a Hawthorne effect—that is, a change in their behavior due to the awareness that they are being observed.
The episode concludes with the workers who mentored the intern being summoned to the company’s executive office. There, the executive lists the criticisms and irregularities before concluding by praising the qualities of his workers, such as their dedication, motivation, and so on.
