Continuation of L Word, 10 years later
In the heart of Los Angeles, we find Bette Porter-Kennard (Jennifer Beals), now the general manager of Isaac Zakarian's art gallery. More than ten years after Jenny Schecter's death, Bette is running for mayor of Los Angeles to succeed Eric Garcetti, but her electoral position is threatened during a live press conference when a man, Tyler Adams, accuses her of sleeping with his ex-wife, Felicity, who was one of Bette's employees at the time.
Shane McCutcheon (Kate Moennig), a former hairdresser, finds herself the owner of "Dana's", a gay bar named after her deceased friend, Dana Fairbanks. Alice Pieszecki (Leisha Hailey) is a talk show host and author. She is in a relationship with therapist Nat and is having trouble mothering Nat's two children and getting along with Nat's control-freak ex-wife, Gigi, who is also the children's biological mother.
Dani Núñez is Bette's former public relations manager and Sophie's ex-fiancée. She is CEO of "Núñez Incorporated" after her father's arrest. Her roommate, Micah Lee, is a trans college assistant professor who falls for their new neighbor José.
