The Testaments

Taking place 15 years after the occurrences in The Handmaid's Tale, a fresh wave of young women in Gilead confront the grim destiny that lies ahead of them. These youngsters have only known life within the confines of Gilead, possessing no real recollections of the world outside before they were absorbed into this existence. Staring at the possibility of entering into arranged marriages and leading lives of subservience, they will be compelled to seek out friends, both fresh faces and familiar ones, to aid in their battle for liberation and the rightful life they are entitled to.
