George Marshall: Soldier and Statesman

General George C. Marshall, the subject of this Biography program, was instrumental in the Allied victory in World War II. In 1948, as Secretary of State in the Truman administration, Marshall initiated a program of economic and technical assistance to speed rebuilding of the postwar European economy.
