Forty-seven-year-old Caroline Case was closing up her Toronto gift shop for the night, heading home just like any other evening. But when her car was found abandoned outside the city, with traces of blood and no signs of Caroline, the family began to fear the worst. With no body and no suspects, the investigation quickly went cold. The following year, in April of 1992, The bodies of Nancy and Ian Blackburn were found murdered, hidden in the trunk of their own car. Around the same time, a string of break-ins in Caledon’s cottage country caught investigators' attention and a profile began to emerge: a lone predator was stalking the community.
