Making Contact

This episode looks at interspecies communication, both in terms of how it is progressing on Earth (think sign-language communication with gorillas, or communication with other high-functioning animals like dolphins) and how it may progress into future communication with extra-terrestrial lifeforms. What can we learn through interspecies communication? When we finally make contact with aliens, how will we communicate with them?
