Why This Lord of the Rings Animated Movie Failed Miserably

The Lord of the Rings trilogy is widely regarded as one of the greatest film adaptations of all time. Peter Jackson’s visionary direction brought Middle-earth to life in a way that no other filmmaker has been able to replicate. So when The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim was announced—with Jackson as an Executive Producer—fans had high hopes. Unfortunately, the film failed to capture the magic of the original trilogy. War of the Rohirrim could have been a magical addition to the world Peter Jackson built, but with lazy writing, dated animation, and a story that most fans weren't interested in it failed to entertain even the most hardcore fans.
