In the year 1444, Lord Date - a noble daimyo in service to the Japanese shogunate - receives a vision from heaven. In the upcoming years of strife, it shall be his banner that prevails through the Ōnin war and all of the peoples of Japan shall be united under his mandate. Together, at behest of their noble emperor, they shall assemble a glorious, shining army that will challenge the mighty Ming and seize the Celestial Throne. The heaven's have decreed it. Make it so.
