Death in the Alps

Adnan Sarwar follows the trail of migrants dicing with death as they attempt to cross the frozen Alpine peaks marking the border between Italy and France. Braving altitudes of up to 2,500 meters and temperatures as low as minus 20, many have died in their attempt to seek safety, having been denied asylum in Italy or threatened with deportation back to the countries from which they fled.
