5 REASONS TO WATCH WYNONNA EARP

There are a lot of shows that are called "spiritual successors" to Buffy: The Vampire Slayer (Teen Wolf in it’s prime, Lost Girl, Being Human, etc) but very few capture the full nuances of what made Buffy so special. In my mind, there are two shows that are out now that understand how to channel the smart writing of Buffy with the great cast of characters. One is Crazyhead, which I spoke about a few months ago, and the other is SyFy’s Wynonna Earp. Wynonna Earp premiered last year on SyFy and returned last Friday, June 9th for its second season.

Wynonna Earp is the SyFy show about Wynonna Earp, a female descendant of Wyatt Earp (Legendary Lawman) who is given a demonic killing gun named Peacemaker, after years of trying to “avoid answering her call” she returned to her hometown off Purgatory to combat the revenants that live in her town. If that’s now enough to convince you to check it out let me give you five reasons why after watching this video you should go and watch Wynonna Earp. Season one is currently streaming on Netflix.
