Connie cleans of the shards of glass from the framed photo Elliot destroyed just as Paul arrives with Allison. Elliot asks Paul to drive him to the town square. Allison suggests that Connie is interested in Elliot. Paul suggests that 18 is a ""magic number"" since Allison is 18, Elliot has served 18 years in prison, Connie has been widowed 18 years, and Paul's sister has been dead 18 years. Elliot grabs Paul and threatens him. Betty and Allison have coffee and hot chocolate at the soda fountain in Hanley's drugstore.
