SpaceX performed a test of their StarShip prototype vehicle known as StarHopper with a brand new serial number 6 Raptor Engine. The vehicle was tethered and held down (hence static fire).
The engine test appeared to go well at approximately 10:24 P.M. local central time and seems to have gone for the full duration. For 4 minutes after the engine test, the vehicle remained on fire until suddenly a large fire ball appeared.
Damage to StarHopper is unknown at this time.

Thanks to the people at Enjoy SPI for helping me get an awesome hotel on South Padre Island! I'm not getting paid to say this, but if you're looking to catch StarHopper, definitely stay on South Padre Island and book with them, it's been incredible! - https://enjoyspi.com/
