Fresh off her fiancé’s sudden disappearance, Hu Xiu is brought by a friend to a murder mystery game club in the hopes of lifting her spirits. Set across the snowy backdrop of Republican-era China, Hu Xiu encounters Qin Xiao Yi, a character who welcomes her into the game world. Hu Xiu finds him attractive, and it's only amplified when she unexpectedly meets "Xiao Yi" – real name Xiao Zhi Yu – in their regular lives. As Hu Xiu and Zhi Yu's stories intertwine both in the game and in their reality, they begin to seek each other out, but the differences between their characters and real personalities make it difficult to figure out how they truly feel about each other. Will they find true love, or was their connection just fiction?
