A girl whom Jin Shi Chuan saved from jumping wants to repay his kindness, but Xu Lai stops her, claiming herself to be Jin Shi Chuan's designated family. After the girl leaves dejectedly, Jin Shi Chuan wonders when he had made that agreement with Xu Lai. Xu Lai gives him a proper explanation but realizes that Jin Shi Chuan has forgotten what happened ten years ago. Xu Lai decides to do whatever it takes to make Jin Shi Chuan recall the promise he made.
