Warren's mother, Paula Shipley, pays a visit to thank Gary and offers to take them to the fair - he accepts. Les decides to cash in on the local burglaries by buying a load of empty alarm boxes for people to put on their houses. Gary tells Paula about Judy's death. She tells him about her divorce. They enjoy each other's company. Alma visits Mike. He admits to her that he thought he was going to die and says he's not ready for that yet.
