The Whale Controversy Vs Common Sense

I finally watched The Whale with Brendan Fraser and I have a lot to say.

I went into this movie expecting to cry - but instead I was pretty disappointed. What's more - the backlash that this film received, specifically from sects of the fat activism community, was absolutely wild.

Is The Whale a body horror movie? Was this a grotesque display of obesity in a negative light? Or was it a really great movie with a lot of deep meaning? My review may surprise you.

This is more of a rant than it is a regular video of mine - so I hope you enjoy my views on The Whale, the food environment we're living in, how the food industry plays a big part of this and of course, my reaction to some of the most unhinged takes of mainstream media reviewers.

Some highlights from this video include my lukewarm response to The Whale, ranting about Fat Suits, talking about food ordering apps (Uber Eats, Door Dash, etc) and the hostile food environment, ranting about the food industry and of course, ranting about the fat acceptance backlash to The Whale.
