Unfortunately, this video will probably be demonetized and suppressed because of subject matter. Despite this, I still thought the story was the best way to bring awareness to mental health this month. May is mental health awareness month and although the conversation has become more open, there’s still more that can be done. Today we’re talking about “The Slenderman Case”, where 2 12 year old girls attempted to take the life of another 12 year old in order to please the fictional character Slenderman. The case made national headlines because of the girls’ ages and their motive. Some blame the internet and creepy pastas, some blame the parents, and some blame mental health. Though this case has ended with 2 young girls throwing away their lives, we can all learn something from this tragic event.
