Raquel & Curly spend the night together - and Raquel is very satisfied! Joss Shackleton is still sponging off Jack & Vera. He says he's following the teaching of Gandhi, whom he met when Gandhi visited Oldham - they played darts in the Spotted Pig. Later he tells Vera his maternal grandfather was Edward VII. Ken asks Andy to close the book - he refuses. Andy is sent to school head Mrs Jeffers who tells him to close the book and pay everyone back. Alec is delighted Alf is standing for councillor - Audrey is aghast. Steph and Des's kitchen is becoming a tip - he decides to live on the boat. Climbing aboard for the can opener, Steph breaks her ankle.
