After withdrawing 8,000 euros from the bank, a doctor sprays himself with petrol and set himself on fire in the parking lot of a building. In charge of investigating this suspicious death, Commander Raphaëlle Coste makes the connection with a suicide that occurred two years earlier: a man had opened his veins in his hotel room, shortly after having withdrawn a large sum of money. Money in cash. Speaking to the criminal archives service, Coste meets the brilliant and confusing Astrid Nielsen, a librarian with Asperger's syndrome.
