C'était annoncé comme une bonne nouvelle pour les orques et les dauphins : en 2021, la loi contre la maltraitance animale est votée et prévoit d'interdire d'enfermer ces cétacés dans des parcs. Cet objectif est applaudi par plusieurs associations, car la captivité est accusée de nuire à ces animaux. Mais malgré cette loi, plusieurs dauphins pourront rester captifs en France, car la loi prévoit une exception : les parcs qui mènent des recherches scientifiques peuvent garder ces animaux en captivité. Et cette exception divise. Est-ce que la science peut vraiment justifier la captivité ? Est-ce que ça peut aider à les préserver dans la nature ?
