John Senior, le vieux rescapé de la mine, avertit les villageois qu'Hoodwink a lancé une attaque de destruction massive. Tous les sites des super-héros du monde sont rasés. Mais il existe une base secrète, construite pendant la grande guerre, où ils pourront se réfugier et attendre d'éventuels survivants. Arrivés dans les montagnes, les villageois décident de rendre Jennifer à Hoodwink, son père, mais John s'y oppose et en confie la garde à Klaus et Doug. L'entrée du bunker est protégée par une énigme. John Senior fait équipe avec John pour la résoudre et surtout tenter de lui dire qu'il est son père.
