Sofie and Dixie escaped the agents in 1984, and return to 2014. To Sofie's great joy, she has succeeded in bringing her mother and father back together. They have never been divorced. But Sofie slowly realizes that not everything is as she had hoped. It turns out that Sofie's intervention in her mother and father's childhood has had disastrous consequences in the present.
