Sofie's mom and dad never got Sofie's little brother Birk after Sofie changed their parents' timeline in 1984. And since the gyro has broken down at the same time, after the last time trip, Sofie and Dixie are busy getting it fixed and getting back to 1984 to fix the disaster they have created. A plan that goes awry when it turns out that Sofie's new parents have made other plans for Christmas.
