De quoi avez-vous le plus peur dans la vie ? La peur, ça fait partie de nous, et donc des grandes mythologies. Mais j’ai constaté un truc : à chaque fois, le cataclysme qui fait peur, c’est un truc vraiment étonnamment simple, voire simplissime. Chez les Gaulois ? Le ciel tombe. Et tout le monde meurt. Les Scandinaves ? C’est un hiver, mais très très très très long. Et tout le monde meurt. Les Hébreux ? C’est une pluie, mais très très très très longue. Et tout le monde meurt. Ou l’Atlantide : c’est une terre qui sombre dans l’eau. Et tout le monde meurt. Mais attention, il ne faut pas se faire avoir : ces mythes fondamentaux qui nous semblent très bourrins, expriment en réalité des craintes très sophistiquées, caractéristiques de leur époque. Je suis quasiment sûr que vous ne connaissez pas encore la véritable origine de l’Atlantide, alors que je sois foudroyé si vous n'apprenez pas au moins un truc aujourd’hui. Enfin, heu… laissez moi commencer l’épisode avant de balancer les éclairs !
