L’esclave qui a détruit l'empire aztèque

Peut-être qu’un empire ne se construit pas en un jour, mais pour sa chute, ça peut être très rapide ! C’est par exemple le cas de l'Empire aztèque : une triple alliance des Mexicas, des Acolhuas et des Tépanèques, qui rassemble 7 millions de sujets, des dizaines de provinces et plusieurs peuples asservis… Et pourtant, il suffit de trois petites années pour qu’il s’effondre complètement ! Comment est-ce possible ? Est-ce une malédiction, l'œuvre d’une sorcière ? Eh bien… certaines légendes voudraient nous faire croire que oui ! C’est une traîtresse, une prostituée, une esclave qui aurait livré tous les secrets de Tenochtitlan aux Conquistadors.
