Allison rescues Rita from hoods Joe Chernak and his pal Earl, who tell her that Kitch is leaving town. Rita confides to Allison that she feels unworthy of Norman. Later. Allison admonishes Norm for his poor treatment of Rita. David questions Rodney about his relationship with Allison. Doris sides with Kim when Allison attempts to discipline the child, but David gives Allison permission to treat Kim as she would any other unruly youngster. The incident with Allison creates tension and subsequently quarreling between Doris and David. David offers to hire Allison part-time as Kim's nanny.
