Der alte Sultan

The story follows an old dog named Sultan, who is loyal to his master but is considered too old to be of any use. When Sultan learns that his master plans to get rid of him, he devises a plan with his friend the wolf to prove his worth. The wolf pretends to steal the master's child, and Sultan heroically "rescues" the child. Impressed by Sultan's bravery, the master decides to keep him. Later, the wolf asks Sultan to help him steal a sheep as a favor, but Sultan refuses and protects his master's flock. This leads to a confrontation between Sultan and the wolf, but they eventually make peace, and Sultan remains loyal to his master until the end.
