Peggy probeert de kwestie diplomatisch te regelen: Bianca krijgt de job in de cafetaria en Peggy zal vergoed worden voor haar werk in het salon. Beide nichten zijn tevreden met deze oplossing, alleen Jenny heeft er wat bedenkingen bij. Frank is niet zo gelukkig met Simonnes grote nieuws: zij heeft een bij-jobke genomen. Maar als Frank aan een scheiding denkt, dan zullen alle centjes welkom zijn volgens Simonne, die dit gegeven ernstig neemt. Ann vertelt John van Walters voorstel. Dat schiet bij hem in het verkeerde keelgat. Maar nadat Ann hem op zijn plaats heeft gezet, moet hij inbinden. Jenny probeert haar eerste les voor te bereiden, maar wordt door jan en alleman gestoord. Wanneer Bianca aan haar eerste werkdag begint blijkt haar collega Simonne te zijn.

Based initially on the Australian soap 'The Restless Years,' GTST later switched to original scripts from its third season onwards. Set in the fictional town of Meerdijk, it centers around several families including Alberts, Sanders, De Jong, Van Houten and Bouwhuis.
What makes GTST exceptionally gripping is its successful incorporation of relatable life elements such as marriage and divorce as well as more extreme experiences like kidnappings and business intrigues. The series isn't afraid of tackling controversial topics either – in 2014 it became a trailblazer by featuring a gay marriage on Dutch TV.
