Private detective Georg Wilsberg is surprisingly ordered into a hotel by Commissioner Anna Springer at night. The reason: A dead callboy lies naked in Anna's hotel room. But she claims her innocence. Wilsberg doesn't know what shocked him more, the dead man, or the fact that Anna ordered a gigolo for the night. Is there a dark secret? Wilsberg gives her gnashing her backing to avert the suspicion of murder and, above all, the impending scandal. They claim to have shared a room and accidentally spotted the dead behind an open door. As a witness, Anna Springer is withdrawn from the case - Overbeck takes command and immediately searches for the woman behind the mysterious alias "Alice" who rented the room. Anna remains nervous.
