Michael Adler – American actor and producer, with no publicly recorded birthplace or birthday. Son of novelist Warren Adler. Earned a B.A. from the University of Southern California and trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre (alongside Daniel Day-Lewis and Miranda Richardson) and RADA in London, and studied improvisation with The Groundlings. Active since 1988, based in Calabasas, California. He is also VP of Creative Affairs and partner for Adler Entertainment Trust, a production company dedicated to bringing his father's library of books to film, television, and Broadway. His most notable film roles include Schloss in Stand and Deliver (1988), Dr. Hillerman in The War of the Roses (1989), a Conference Room Attorney in Liar Liar (1997), Dr. Alex Dupree in I Know Who Killed Me (2007), Bank Manager in Peppermint (2018), Anderson in A Million Miles Away (2023), and Senator Tobey in The Alto Knights (2025). On television he has appeared in Criminal Minds (2009) as Patrick Meyers, True Detective (2015) as Cliggot, Brothers & Sisters (2008) as Doug Manning, The O.C. (2005) as Jeff Frenkel, NCIS (2003) as CPT Burger, House (2007), NYPD Blue (2004), and Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (2022) as Judge Lawrence Gram.
