Devi Vishwakumar (Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) is a 15-year-old teenager. She is a high school student in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles. When her father, Mohan, dies suddenly, she has a sudden reaction to the shock. She loses the use of her legs for three months due to the trauma.
She gets back on her feet, goes back to school and meets her friends Eleanor and Fabiola. All three of them want to radically change their identity and their life. They now want to be cool and hang out with the right people. Devi has lost several months of her life, while the other teenagers her age have all moved on tremendously in such a short time.
She discovers that Eleanor has a boyfriend and becomes upset. She turns to Paxton Hall-Yoshida, her crush, and asks him to be her first.
Devi also has to see a therapist to try to deal with her trauma, which is still a bit present, but above all, to talk to him about her new life as a fulfilled teenager.
She has to deal with her family's customs, get drunk at a student party, and live with the most difficult thing about adolescence: love. As she tries to change her social status, Devi will also have to deal with the people around her who are not very helpful.
