The Empire State Building is actually rebuilt floor by floor, and the Kennedy Space Center rises from an alligator-infested swamp, while giant faces are carved out of the bare mountain at Mt Rushmore.

Produced by Working Dog Productions, Utopia premiered on ABC in August 2014. The show revolves around a tight-knit team tasked with guiding enormous building schemes from announcement to unveiling. But as they navigate constant shifts in priorities and balance long-term visions with short-term gains, their journey is anything but smooth, resulting in well-designed white elephants instead.
