Assigned to a police station in an Occitan village after an operation that left half her face scarred, Parisian police captain Noémie Chastain sees her mandatory recuperation period take a very dark direction. Instead of simply reporting on police station activity and its possible closure, she suddenly finds herself involved in a twenty-three-year-old disappearance case. The first barrel containing the skeleton of a child is discovered on the surface of the artificial lake under which the submerged village lies...
