In the city of Tulsa, Lee Raybon, a community reporter and self-proclaimed “Truthologist,” is obsessed with one thing: the truth. This obsession frequently lands him in tricky situations. Far from being an ideologue, Lee is determined to expose the corruption and secrets plaguing his city, even if it puts him in danger. His latest investigation into the powerful Washberg family coincides with the suspicious suicide of Dale Washberg. Lee is convinced he has uncovered a major scandal. Dale left behind clues, imploring that an investigation be conducted into his death. Lee takes on this mission. He reveals that Betty Jo, the grieving widow, seems more attracted to her brother-in-law than to her late husband. And influential figures are trying to dissuade him from digging any deeper.
