Kasabian, The Pretenders, Baaba Maal, Paul Jones, Regina Spektor, Golden Silvers

Joining Jools are Kasabian, who are supporting Oasis on their 2009 tour and whose third album, West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, is imminent.

Chrissie Hynde's The Pretenders return with a couple of numbers from their new album, Break Up the Concrete, and Senegalese legend Baaba Maal is also in the studio to play tracks from his latest record, Television.

Former Manfred Mann vocalist and now broadcaster and blues musician Paul Jones plays a song from his album, Starting All Over Again, and Moscow-born, New York-bred Regina Spektor presents an acoustic tune from her new LP, Far.

From North London, Golden Silvers make their first Later appearance with tracks from their debut, True Romance. Chicago's Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, a nine-piece outfit, eight of whom are sons of jazz trumpeter Phil Cohran, also appear. They've played with Mos Def, Erykah Badu and Maxwell, and are supporting Blur in Hyde Park in summer 2009.
