Janelle shares her personal journey of battling cancer in her early 20s and how it impacted her life: from coming out to finding a greater purpose. Janelle discusses the stages of fighting for her life, occasionally letting in her "darkness", and how her wife's love helped her overcome the toughest battle.

The second half of this episode focuses on LPAC and its purpose: getting queer women and non-binary folks elected into office. Janelle discusses how important it is to vote and take interest in politics, and how understanding issues that impact the LGBTQ community is crucial to voting wisely.
