For four seasons The Originals has wanted us to pretend that Marcel isn’t black, The Mikaelson’s are white and that racial dynamics don’t play a role in their relationships or the narrative. M’Kay, well that has gotten harder and harder to ignore. Especially with the passing season and the events of this recent one.
