When it was announced that Rebecca Hall was making a film adaptation of Nella Larson's Passing there was "discussion" about if the leads, Tessa Thompson and Ruth Negga, "passed" and what it meant to pass. Especially in the 1920s and 30s that Larson was writing about. In this video, we are going to discuss Passing. The novel, the film, and the concept of Passing today and at the time in which Larson was writing.
