Female Objectification in Media - A Persona 5 Case Study | Salari

Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal contain an excellent critique of objectification of women; it condemns those do it and asks you to do so as well, but it very quickly undercuts this message by doing a heel turn and objectifying the same characters who were victimized, in an attempt to pander to audiences. This is a look at how creators can write characters who have ownership of their sexuality, rather than existing to titillate audience.
