Witch hunt

Angelika Schwarzauer stirs up the minds of her neighbors: As a "seer" she is supposed to be able to illuminate the lives of her fellow human beings and recognize tragic events. After she predicts such a thing to her neighbor Leonhard Wölfel, he dies mysteriously. His vengeful widow Dora starts a witch hunt, and soon afterwards Schwarzauer is murdered in a less than supernatural way. But Dora is not the only one who has a motive, because the entire conspiratorial household is teeming with suspects.
