Northern California Couple is on the Hunt for Very Unique Home

Polina met her boyfriend, John, nine years ago when they were in college. Now the couple lives in the Half Moon Bay area of Northern California where they work together at John's family business. Being in the financial world, these first time homebuyers understand that now is a good time to buy. But John and Polina don't want a cookie-cutter home. They want something very unique, with lots of character. They'd also prefer it to be a multi-level home, with no carpet, and a large updated kitchen. John also wants lots of natural light, which doesn't mesh well with Polina, who prefers a dark bedroom.
