The Killings of Copenhagen

Eric Calder, boss of Calder's Biscuits based in Badger's Drift, is killed on a business trip to Copenhagen when he opens a tin of his company's famous Golden Clusters. The tin is coated with deadly strychnine and Danish detectives [DCI Poulsen and DS Anna Degn] discover the toxic package was posted from Midsomer.
Tempers flare when DCI Barnaby closes down Calder's factory just as it's on the verge of pulling off a major deal with a Danish bakery, and he and DS Nelson soon find Calder had more than biscuits linking him to Copenhagen. Another body is found and Barnaby and Nelson travel to Denmark to join forces with the Copenhagen cops
