The shop freezer defrosts. Alf accuses Audrey of switching it off. Audrey however,makes Alf think that Ivy switched the freezer off. Alf discovers Audrey hadthe kids in the shop and realises they turned the freezer off. He blames herfor not looking after them. Steve is delighted when Steph take the day off work, but Liz thinks Steph has lured Steve away from her. Steph tells Steve they don't want a lodger. He's welcome to come over anytime but he must return home. Steve returns home and Liz tells him he doesn't have to resit his exams.Steve buys Steph chocolates as a thank you present. She fears he's getting heavy. Ken is horrified to hear Deirdre has become Phil's business partner,but Deirdre isn't sure what her job is. Mrs Shaw tells Mavis she's dropping the tribunal, she agrees Derek isn't a pervert. Derek believes he won Mrs Shaw over not knowing that Mavis persuaded her. Ivy offers to leave the shop but Alf stops her. Audrey walks out of the shop saying she won't be returning.
