In the pilpt of September 26,1983,Admiral Mallory(Weaver)faces the consequences of a Navy involving aerial exercise wherein a Cuban plane and Lt.Simon Adams(Anderson)plane are involved in a midair collision.This sends them down killing noone.The Admiral also has a run in with Harlan Adams over 1000 acres the Admiral seeks for an additional runway for Emerald Point N.A.S.This must go through the city council but Adams controls it and has no intention in giving up the land.Then there is a serious off-base dilemma for the Admiral.Lt. Glenn Matthews is arrested on murder charges of a young man,Jeremy.This also involves Matthews fiancee,Hilary Adams and the Admirals daughter Kay.Let the mess begin.Richard and Esther Shapiro wrote the pilot and Harry Falk directed it.
