in today's episode of a study of style, the series where we investigate specific fashion aesthetics, we take a look at the iconic alternative style that reigned over the 2000s: scene. known for their skinny jeans, studded belts, and giant hairbows, scene kids were equal parts emo, british punk, and japanese gyaru, resulting in an incredibly unique look that still stands out today. although the style lessened in popularity during the 2010s it's since made a comeback online in a trend called the "rawring 20s". what're your thoughts on the scene movement and did you want to be a scene queen? ps: rawr means i love you in dinosaur.
